★★★★★Long time customer. Went to other higher end gyms for a while (2-3 years), now I am back. Most comments by other customers are correct. The equipment is old and the owners are kinda grumpy at times. And yes, the gym if full of super fit folks at times that it can be intimidating. But it is a training facility that has won MANY body building competitions, so these guys are at home there. BUT: Powerflex has better, more varied equipment. If you want to train, you get better workouts with this kind of equipment. Also, the customers tend to be a lot more disciplined at Powerflex. Weights are put back in their spots, machines are unloaded, because people who are serious at training, tend to be more respectful of their surroundings and very polite as well. So over all, even the most intimating people are very approachable and share tips and tricks and will talk to you. You just have to break the ice. The bad odor has been much improved. There are signs everywhere encouraging folks to be as clean as possible and (all) the rules are enforced, compared to other gyms who do no seem to think that enforcing them is at all possible, creating a very disorganized and dirty environment at times, especially in winter. True, the facility is far from the prettiest. I do wish they made it a little nicer, but over all, this has been my favorite gym for many years now, even after a short break, it is back on the top of my list.

★★★★★Not the most modern, up-to-date gym but nonetheless it has enough equipment to enable an effective workout. I was a member here for 3 years and although its not the most alluring gym ive been to, I managed to gain muscle and stay in shape. I would definitely recommend that they put some money into renovations and new equipment but otherwise its an overall ok gym given the low annual membership fees of $219. Worth trying out for $10 trial.

★★★★★This gym has the best prices in all of Montreal.. it costs u less than 300$for a year membership and u get a good quality gym.. I personally go there for the classes they offer they have a wide variety with real instructors.. yoga.. zumba.. pilates.. step.. etc... they have a sauna in the locker room.. I really recommend this place.. they also have decent opening hours (till midnight on weekdays and 10pm on weekends)

★★★★★Great place. Has everything a gym needs to have + opening hours are super convenient for early and late birds. Trainers are not your average gym coaches. These guys are pros.

★★★★★Peak times are a bit busy, but that's expected. Never much of a wait for machines, and the layout is decent for finding the machine you need with ease. Change rooms are clean, and there's even a mini sauna if that's your thing. They also have specials very often. Great gym for great prices.
