★★★★★Such a friendly community! I’m so happy I decided to join this gym - the owners and other climbers are extremely friendly to beginners and you’ll never feel lonely when climbing. Lots of interesting climbing routes too!

★★★★★Very difficult to read boulders due to the overwhelming amount of holds on the wall. This is only made worse by the fact that the boulder problems consist of varying colors and are only denoted by the use of a colored tape, many of which are either falling off the wall or are very similar in color to other nearby problems. All in all I spent most of my time trying to decipher where a problem started and ended than actually climbing. I suppose one could get used to this style of setting, but given the other options in Montreal, notably blocshop, I don't see myself coming back. Expected better after seeing the positive reviews. Staff was kind and helpful.

★★★★★Best bouldering gym in Montreal. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere, creative boulders set, best prices, and close to a good bunch of pubs/eats for the after-the-send pint.

★★★★★I started climbing at Shakti right after I moved to Montreal from Korea. The community at Shakti made me feel like home. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly. Great vibes and great routes to climb! Shakti is not only a place to climb but also my second home. Strongly recommend this place to those who want to start climbing or are new to the city!

★★★★★Fun quiet little climbing gym. Interesting problems, with decent options for most skill levels. The route setting is a bit old school, with no volumes, and taped routes the whole way up. Many of the tapes are worn and peeling off. The front desk employees often seem to have this "too cool to care" attitude with regards to customer service and overall gym maintenance. A little bit more pro-activity on their part to keep the gym and the holds clean, as well as replacing the tapes peeling off the wall would go a long way making this gym my favourite bouldering spot in Montréal.
