★★★★★ I did the trial week, felt motivated enough and comfortable to go thrice and decided to become a member. Counting the trial week, it’s been two weeks and a half and I’m really enjoying it.
Friendly, bilingual staff, nice group classes (I tried the Zumba one; unluckily the spinning one had been canceled the time I showed up) and there are enough machines for everyone. As many reviewers said, it can be somewhat crowded around 5-7pm: this can affect availability, but if one uses different machines, it’s easy to avoid this problem using other machines in the meantime.
I’ve read comments about it being pricey but those must be older prices. I have done some research before actually subscribing and found that it was the most affordable gym in the neighbourhood –much better prices than the Concordia gym (I haven’t seen their facilities though) nearby for instance.
Also, because I’m at the moment flexible enough to do that, I have tried different hours: opening hours in the weekend (quite empty), as well as daytime (am & pm) and evening hours during the week. The only real peak seems to be somewhere around 4:30-7:30pm.
