★★★★★ It's not the perfect gym, but I feel at home here - which is sometimes more important. Really good gang of group class instructors who make an effort to welcome newcomers and help them out. The layout of the rest of the gym is a bit odd - feels a little like a hobbit warren - but the fact that it's divided into about 5 distinct spaces means you can usually find your own corner. The equipment is a mix of new and old, but adequate for most needs. Usually you don't need to fight for space in the weight room - or wait too long for what you need. I like that there is a mixed demographic - from younger juice monkeys to middle aged and beyond. Everyone fits, and people are quite friendly. The regulars get to recognize each other and chat. And the gym is clean - the woman who takes care of that works out there herself!
Sadly, they are converting to Éconofitness as of December 2016 and the west island community will be losing a great group of instructors and classes. RIP EC.
