★★★★★ I haven’t had the greatest start at TMR Fitness. I was very interested in joining because of the convenient location, and they had great membership promotions - which I initially saw on their website.
I called the gym to confirm the promotions and see if I could drop in to check out the facilities.
That evening when I came to the gym - the receptionist was on her cell phone, didn’t look up or greet me in anyway. She took her call elsewhere. I was standing there for 5+ minutes waiting (and the trainer was in the glass office, walked by, also no “hello how can I help you?” from him either). Finally, the receptionist returned, showed me around, explained the promotions again, and had me fill out a profile for my “free visit”. No rush, the promos were until Feb 15.
Two days later, I return for the free visit, and I was eager to enrol for the membership of $9.99 bi-weekly (includes classes). After working out, I waited at reception for 15 minutes! The same receptionist couldn’t be bothered to get paper work started while she finished with the other client. I mentioned I was waiting for her to sign up. Nothing. I went home.
The next day, I sent an email through the website to see if I could make an appointment or something and not waste my time again. No response.
Then, this past Sunday I came to the gym and met a different receptionist. I explained that I had done my free workout, I was very eager to sign up for the promotional membership ONLY TO BE TOLD THE PROMOTION WAS OVER. My options were now $10/month or $40/month. At least she seemed sympathetic, and was frustrated that I had been so mislead by her colleague. I took the $10 option because I need a gym, but I was very disappointed.
Guys, I was a willing and eager customer. I was told on several occasions that I could benefit from the promotion until Feb.15th. I was not taken care of, and the lack of training or motivation from your staff was very misleading and frustrating. Nothing has been done to rectify this, and it’s just a negative way to start this membership. It’s a cheap option, but the lack of professionalism would make me hesitate from recommending it to anyone else.
